The ride honors the fallen 32-year-old Utica Police Officer who was shot and killed during a routine traffic stop April 12, 2007. He was a five-year veteran of the department and served with the U.S. Marine Corps.
The event raises money for the Thomas Lindsey Memorial Foundation, whose mission is to support research to prevent crimes against police officers. The foundation also distributes funds for education and activities for troubled youth that may be included to commit crimes against law enforcement.
